New Music | Goldfrapp
Singer Allison Goldfrapp and composer Will Gregory teamed up in 1999 naming themselves after the singer’s last name. Goldfrapp was famously the back-up guest vocalist with the electronic band Orbital and Trip hop artist Tricky, who was then at the height of his fame. Goldfrapp’s sound has always been a unique sound, influenced by the sounds of Weimar area cabaret, folk, dance and electronica. Their debut Felt Mountain gained critical acclaim but failed to find much of an audience. The 2013 release Tales of Us finds the pair in top form.
