Native Ad Trends

According to a recent post on Business Insider, native ads, or those that take on or mimic the content surrounding them, will make up to 74% of and up from a 56% share in 2016–this according to data from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PwC, as well as IHS.

Social sites such as Facebook and Twitter were early adopters of native formats and their dominance will likely continue as new technologies will make it easier for all publishers and advertisers to develop native campaigns.

“Native display ad revenue in the US will rise at a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17% during this time period to eclipse $36 billion.”
