Gaudi, Casa Vicens

Casa Vicens is the first home designed and built by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Originally built for a tile merchant then sold to the Cover family in 1899, the house stayed with the family for more than a hundred years before being restored in 2015. The house will display Gaudis original designs as well an permanent and rotating exhibitions.

“The building itself stands as an early example of the architect’s Neo-Mudéjar architecture, and is one of eight UNESCO World Human Heritage Site in Barcelona. Casa Vicens completes the Gaudí Route, a series of more than a dozen buildings designed by the architect including the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia.”
