“Humanidad aqui arriba” is a series of shots by videographer and photographer Camila Falquez that explores the contrasts between models representing extremes in skin color and body type. Falquez has a lot of experience with ballet as a young woman and that art informs this series.
Falquez lives between Barcelona and New York and is a self-taught photographer who began her career assisting photographer Scott Schuman, and has now built up quite a list of fashion clients.
“I’m not portraying how people move culturally. What I’m doing is moving these bodies and showing through my eyes how I see movement in their body,” she says.
