Andrey Belcov | Analog Dreamscapes
Moscow-based photographer Andrey Belcov has an eye for the beauty in starkly rendered still-lifes and landscapes. Using an all analog technique Belcov’s still life’s of buildings isolated from their immediate surroundings take the mundane into the extraordinary. His landscapes are no less stark and his sense of composition and color is sublime.
“I used Canon 5D mark II with L-lenses and Hasselblad 500CM for some years. Several photographs, which are the most significant for me, were made with both of them. Since 2011 I use only analog equipment. All the photographs at this site have no any digital manipulations except brightness, contrast and tonality adjustments.”
